Learn to Sew!

This past summer, we started a kids sewing class and it has really taken off! The kids have learned to use the machine by doing a different project each week. Each week their skills have improved and I am so proud of how much they have learned and accomplished!

As school starts, we are going to aim for Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 sewing group. We will do certain projects week by week that aim to advance their skills on the machine. As students progress, we will aim for a more advanced project where each of the kids will take a pattern, learn to read it, cut it, and execute it over several classes.

Material and machines are provided for these classes. Kids are also encouraged to learn on their machine (if they have one).

If you are interested in having your child join the class and they have never sewn before, then don't worry! The first class, they will learn the basics of the machine and how to use it and then they will jump right in!

We start lessons at age 7 or a very mature 6.

Check out some of the great projects our kids did this past summer!
